The Rev. John Gutterman will be with us to discuss immigration. John is a UCC pastor and Minnesota Field Director for Comprehensive Immigration Reform at Church World Service.  He will offer an up-to-date review of Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR) which he describes as “one of our nation’s defining moral, political, and faith issues.”  The program includes an introduction to immigration in the faith tradition, the pro- and anti- immigration traditions in the US, framing immigration as a faith issue, and preparation for advocacy.  According to John, “the United States is in the midst of a massive expulsion campaign that is both terrorizing the immigrant community and betraying our heritage as an immigrant nation.”
