Adult Faith Formation

Bible Study, Christian Spirituality Small Group and More

We believe that Christian Formation is for everyone!
We frequently host Bible Study groups, New Member groups and Book Study groups. Our Book Study group will read and discuss the book of Revelation on Fridays, 10:00 am, starting October 2, in the Olcott Room.

Wednesday night forum — 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the Month

Join us every first and third Wednesday of the month after the 6 pm meal for a Cafe Discussion on building discipleship. This adult version of this fall’s youth group programming will let parishioners discuss and examine our walk in faith, while parents of teens can continue the conversation on the drive home and beyond.

New Member Cohort

Sundays, September 20 – October 11

11:30 am – 1:00 pm, Olcott Room

Are you interested in officially joining St. Paul’s? New members of the St. Paul’s community are invited to join a cohort. We will reflect together on questions like: what drew you here? Why Jesus? And, what does it mean to you to be part of a church? Lunch will be shared among participants. Childcare arranged upon request. We will pick a date for a new member liturgy, based on availability, in late October or early November. To sign up please email Maggie at rector@stpaulsduluth.org.

Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, October 4, 10:00 am

Join us for the ever-popular Blessing of the Animals, in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. Bring your pet (leashed or in crate) to sit in church with you! Photos of pets, and stuffed animals, are also welcome. Each pet will receive a special blessing. Treats for people and their pets will be available at coffee hour. For those of you with allergies, please be aware that there will be cats and dogs in church on October 4.

Harvest Potluck and Wild Rice Talk

Wednesday, September 30, 6:00 pm

September has five Wednesdays, which means we have a special gathering. The meal will be a themed potluck, featuring whatever local harvest you have from your garden, CSA, or however you interpret “Harvest.” Nancy Schuldt will talk about wild rice and her work to restore local ricing habitat. No RSVP is needed.

Practicing the Way of Jesus

Thursdays, October 1–December 3

This program focuses on training us to live as an apprentice of Jesus. It will be offered on Thursday mornings at 10 am in the Parish Hall with coffee and fellowship as we journey together following the Way of Jesus. There is no cost to you. Please email Deacon Pat at deacon@stpaulsduluth.org to sign up.

There will be three more groups focusing on some of the Spiritual Practices from PTW. Scripture as Spiritual Practice will start October 26 – see The Messenger for more information.
