A religious ceremony inside a church where a person in red and gold vestments, likely a bishop, is performing a blessing or confirmation by placing a hand on a young woman's head. A small group of people, including women and elders, stands around them in a supportive gesture.

Adult Faith Formation

Bible Study, Christian Spirituality Small Group and More

We believe that Christian Formation is for everyone!
We frequently host Bible Study groups, New Member groups and Book Study groups. Our current Book Study group meets on Friday mornings at 10 am for the months of June and July. (No meeting on June 20 or July 4). We are reading Song in a Weary Throat, by the Rev. Pauli Murray. We also will discuss the upcoming lectionary readings.
Read the Messenger newsletter to learn about the next group meeting times.

Thanks for Your Feedback

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church has a long history of faithful ministry in Duluth. Now, with God’s help, we move forward to strengthen our facilities and mission for the years to come. We have partnered with GSB Fundraising to explore the feasibility of a $2.6 million capital campaign scheduled for 2025. Thank you to each household for responding to our survey. Results will be reported soon.

Congratulations to Agnes

Please join St. Paul’s in congratulating Agnes Barthel for winning the Karin Larson Classical Music Prize from Minnesota Public Radio. Agnes learned to play the organ here at St. Paul’s from Tom Hamilton, and you’ve heard her play several times in worship. Thank you to everyone from St. Paul’s who voted and supported her. You can hear Agnes’ on air response at the link above.

Dinner and a Movie

Friday, June 13, 6:30 pm

Join Deacon Pat and the Duluth community for a simple meal and to watch and discuss the movie Under the Bridge: The Criminalization of Homelessness. This is a timely topic for Duluth because of the legal action against the approval of Safe Bay at the Vineyard Church.

A large, historic stone building with a slate roof is partially covered in vibrant red ivy. The building features arched windows and a tall, square tower. The sky above is blue with scattered clouds. Bushes and trees surround the structure.

We Practice a Faith Rooted In Love, Curiosity, Hope, and Service

St. Paul’s is a faith community shaped around ancient practices of Christian worship that include prayer, song, study, and celebration. We believe that God’s love extends to all, and that Christ’s table is set for all who are hungry.

A serene view of a rocky shoreline with waves gently crashing against the rocks. The blue sky above is scattered with light clouds, and the vast ocean extends to the horizon, blending seamlessly with the sky.
